Thanks to selling a few more games than I expected, I've just taken advantage of this offer Been years since I bought a football game at launch but the be a pro and manager modes swung it for me. Just seems to be the complete package Plus looks like it'll take a while to master which'll be nice.

Yeah, something like that Lynnie's profile still has more points than mine, I haven't been able to score an overhead volley yet against the AI

Have to keep an eye out for Fifa in a few price drops time.
My Take after playing both demos.
I thought PES suxxed & although Fifa was better I still prefer Fifa08, This is probably due to me being used to F08 though
Mad though I'd never have thought I'd have ever migrated from PES to Fifa but then that was before Fifa08

I think we all felt that way to be fair Malc. That's just how good of a job EA have done.

Got 3 achievements in 1 tonight - 32 yard freekick in off the crossbar. .
Still need a volley and overhead kick - the latter I don't even know how to do - I've heard RB + Double tapping B, but that's just a header.

Really wish games would start putting headers and volleys on different buttons. If they put volley on X/Square then there wouldn't be any problems at all.

I got the overhead kick achievement on Lynnie's profile last night while playing Leo. Went down the left with Pienaar and crossed it in for Cahill, but the ball was a little behind him. Pressed the shoot button as usual, be because of the ball position he overhead kicked it in instead. I was well happy until I remembered I was using the wrong profile!

Well, after a weekend of playing I can confirm that I officially love this now Been playing the Be a Pro mode exclusively, and I'm really enjoying it. Started on Semi-Pro and after 20 games or so found it was really too easy, scoring hat tricks every nearly every game (I had 61 goals in 21 games!), so I bumped the difficulty up to Professional. It's a nice improvement and makes the game more realistic as you can't always sprint through teams (though as my guy is very fast a good through ball means I'm near impossible to catch). Still managed a couple of hat tricks on that difficulty, but also needed a 91st minute solo goal to beat Man City which is the closest game I've had so far.

Overall, the best football game I've played in years. The King is dead, long live the King.

I have to say I really enjoyed the games on Friday. I was originally a Fifa fan back with my gamecube but went over to PES with the xbox. For me though the be a pro feature is an excellent idea as it's fun controlling the whole team but I think that is the killer feature (for me anyway)

Same here It was the main feature that swung it for me as it's the type of thing I've wanted in a football game for years

Glad to see there's a lot more converts here. Couple other forums still can't go over to Fifa and still believe PES will get better. Personally, just can't see it happening for a long time.

New Fifa I love, although there are times when it becomes frustrating, such as passes that you go to do end up going randomly in the wrong direction. Other than that it's pretty damn good.
