'I like artists such as Queen, Rihanna, Otis Redding, Pendulum, Eminem etc.'

Etc.? So, we're meant to extrapolate the other artists you admire from a list of entirely conflicting genres spanning fifty years of music? Gah.

Companies that inexplicably no longer deliver to Scotland on a Next Day service (claim it's not possible?!)

Certainly won't be using Drinkstuff/Barmans again :\

That horrifying moment when the washing machine starts it's final spin and you realise there is/was a £10 note in the pocket of your jeans.

Not just any £10 note, one that is very important because it's not yours, and you are going to have to use your own money to replace it. All because you didn't check your pockets

If you can still make out the serial number, you can get it back. Usually notes come out of ours relatively unscathed!

This.

I seem to recall starting a thread several years ago following the discovery of fifteen pounds in laundered notes

Phew! It's fine!

I've spent £100 in preparation for a certain little man's 5th Birthday at the end of the month, I wouldn't have been able to replace the £10 until next Friday.

Yes, I say stuff like that all the time. I usually say "everything from Simon & Garfunkel to Cannibal Corpse, except R&B"

It's the etc. that bothers me. It implies that the preceding information infers what's to come.

'The jars are labelled 'A', then 'B', then 'C', etc.'. - Works.

'The jars are labelled 'A', then '5', then 'Pi', then a picture of a cat, etc.' - No! No 'etc.'!
