This afternoons rant, (and a rational one sorry)

John Terry getting away with it, even though he admitted he had said what it was believed he had said all along. If it was the other way round (a black person being racist to a white person) or even if he wasn't a rich white bloke, i'm sure the verdict would have been very different.

I just don't get it.

Although, I don't think 'not having a TV' makes a difference now anyway because 90% of stuff is available online. IT used to mean 'I never watch TV" because without one, you couldn't, now it means nothing. That's why it annoys me when people use it as a 'smug' device. They don't have a TV but they spend hours on their laptops plugged into Iplayer. IT'S THE SAME THING!

Never really heard anyone say stuff like they have to you (heard no tv as just don't need it) but can imagine that people who are smuggy over no tv and yet watch it on iplayer are a wee tad annoying


One thing that does really frustrate me though on the TV topic... people who cannot live without it. Or miss an episode of a series and are distraught (we're talking something daft like neighbours/eastenders here not like an episode of a short series that needs to be followed through).

Same with the internet. It's so central to some peoples lives I think it's all a little sad and depressing really. I do love the interweb and my films / series I but sometimes I welcome a power cut... other people I know would flip if there was one and be bored in seconds (or on their phones!)

I just want to shake people and say live a little. There's so so much of the world out there to experience and see... as opposed to doing so through the computer / tv how about getting out there or doing something different. Or taking up a new hobby! Or just... I don't know. Just not sitting on your butt in front of a screen for hours and be so reliant on it!


Ooh yeh, Kitten, reference Iron tablets I was told by my sports injury rubby back cracky neck man that the ones from boots / high street health shops are pants and hardly work their way into your system at all if you're on them! He's quite out there mind so not sure what to believe He managed to get me some alternative stuff which sorted out my iron deficiency. Can find out the details if you'd like! Hope you feel better soon on the sucky meds Kitten!

I did worry when posting above you might think it's a comment referring to when you moved into your spangly new home and hung fire for the interweb but it wasn't at all I think you did it the right way as you were happy doing it how you did I also think for your first home (on your todd) too it's nice to have it all set up anyway so you don't feel so alone / bit nothing to do in the eve! Just cos I'm quite content moving straight into a pile of poop and having nothing other than a book and a fire and I'm happy with that doesn't mean I'm any better... just different ways of doing things

Last thing I would want to do is tell anyone how to lead their lives Suggestions to friends if they ask/I'm close enough with them. As my post I do want to shake some people and say try doing some other things for once (hence my annoyance) buuuuut I just let them get on with it at the end of the day!

Each to their own and to be fair I'm with you on your remark too. People who tell you what to do with your life = sucky. At the end of the day we should all do what makes us happy
