Recruitment Consultants.

I should know as I work with them

When they call you - at work of course and have the audacity to ask 'can you talk?' well obviously not I am at work, but if I hang up and say I will call you back it looks dodgy... sodding email me first then I will call you back.

Nob.

People who are unable to distinguish between things they don't like and things that are without merit. Everything they don't like is '****'. No you just don't like it, there is a difference. I personally don't like listening to Robert Schumann and never choose to do so, but to say he is '****' would be moronic.

My neighbour is telling me to chop down a tree in my garden as it shades her *entire* garden.

Granted, it's a big tree but it only partially shades a section of her garden up until about midday and then it's sunny in her garden the rest of the afternoon.

Her garden though... is a tip. She never goes out in it! It's actually shaded late afternoon / evening by another neighbours leylandi which is as tall as a house and super ugly (legally they're only allowed to be 6foot tall). She's never complains to him though. She complains at how unsightly the tree is growing over the wall (of which I've said feel free to chop and throw bits over and we will dispose of) but she says she can't as she's ill and the gardener she wants to hire will charge her £300 to chop the lower branches on her side. She's said I should pay the gardener to do it!

I've said I will go round and chop what I can but I can only reach so high. She's just so rude about it. She also complains if people park outside our house as it makes it difficult for her to park (there's enough room for three cars plus she has a drive she doesn't use).

I have done my best to make this house a much more pleasant place to live next to... considering what the garden was before (with 6 - 7 MASSIVE trees I had to digger out) she has never once said thank you for improving it, the front, the back or anything.

Take a look...

Original Garden

Now:

This was taken around 11am so you can kinda see the worst on her side. What shade you see in her garden (if you can see it because there's so much other crap in her garden) is the most it gets all day. We have all the shade in the afternoon (other than our decking). Like I said, our tree is big but fortunately with a South facing garden this means it blocks *our* light and about 10ft square of hers only in the morning.

If she was only polite about it all then I would be more agreeable but she's a pain in the butt. When I explained I will do my best to get round before I sell to help tidy up she said she will go down to the estate agent and let them know I have a tree so close to the house and how unsightly it is and that it invalidates her insurance and mine!! I pointed out she has 5 other trees right next to her house in her garden so she needs to state on her insurance that she is within 20metres of trees anyway.

She continued on the estate agent thing and said they would tell me it's an eyesore and no one will want my house. I said I would leave that decision to the buyers of the property but thank you for her perspective, it's always good to have feedback.

What an ungrateful Sh*t stirring to**er! How about sort your own garden out first so you can actually see into it before complaining about a tree in mine... especially after what improvements I have already made.

Men who walk directly behind their other halves with their hands behind their backs in supermarkets.

Ridiculous thing to annoy me I know!

Isn't an email from bob@abcrecruitmentconsultants.co.uk a little more obvious though?

I have to agree with you 100% here. I'm not talking anything dramatic like travelling the world or sky diving, but some people just don't do anything with their lives. Go to work, go home, sit about. Then they ask me how on earth I manage to fit in all my running, cookery classes etc. Choose I don't sit on my arse all evening, that's why.

Also people, specifically my mother who bang on about how much weight they need to lose and then do nothing different to the same "diet" or "healthy eating" campaign that's consistently failed for them for the past twenty odd years. Exercise woman and stop bloody drinking wine and eating brass with every meal. Arrrrrrgh, she drives me mad!
