The gym they were filming at is where I go to have the BNBF meetings, Annie ( the judge lady ) is LOVELY and really helped me a lot

So the offseason hath begun !

After a nice rest from the gym and the diet I am back on the wagon.

Offseason is about building more muscle before you start to strip the fat again, some fat gain is inevitable but by keeping the cardio up ( 4 to 5 45 mins walkies per week ) and keeping the diet fairly strict I can keep this to a minimum.

Diet is pretty much the same as pre-comp but with more carbs (yay!) and I can have as many cheat meals as I like, but because I want to keep the fat levels in check I'll be scheduling 2 a week... if I fancy more or there's a social occasion then it doesn't matter

Can also have a few little treats during the day but again need to keep a lid on these to keep the fat levels in check.

The leaner I can stay the happier I'll be and will make the prep easier next year.

I'm hoping to do 3 shows next year, 1 MuscleTalk show which is with the UKBFF, this is a different federation which isn't tested ( means most people will be using some sort of steriod or fatburner )

I didn't want to compete with them last year as I wouldn't be competitive against their figure girls who have more muscle and come in leaner than the BNBF girls. However the federation have brought out a Bikini Class which will probably suit my figure more - this will be in early June.

I also want to do the BNBF Southern in Bognor Regis which will be late June and then the BNBF Central again.

Seems a shame to work so hard and just do the 1 show but for my first time I really needed to focus.

So since the competition I have put on a stone - this is totally normal, most people gain more than this !

Been feeling a little out of shape but had my first proper week back on the wagon - my body now reacts to the changes in diet/exercise so quickly I've tightened up already !







So I've got a little bit of ab outline which has come back and also some cuts in the delts ( shoulders ) and triceps ( arms )

The progress offseason is slow and steady as you don't see the progress as well but off I go !

Good luck with the muscle building during the off-season, it doesn't look like you've gone too mad in your short break at least so you should be starting from a good platform.

Nice to see Pebbles taking an leisurely interest too.

Desmo is a lucky lucky man. You still look fab and you're going to look incredible on stage next year.

You really are in top shape - and you work hard at it, and it's well deserved.

Now if only I could work out how to make Jennifer Nicole Lee my PT I think I'd be in the gym every day!

Thanks dude ! I did go quite mad to be honest but have soon sprung back once I got back on the wagon... god bless the rebound

Soooo 5 weeks time and I get to start prepping again ... Prep starts on the 13th of March and doing a full 16 week diet

This year's attack will be sightly different as last season I was still trying to build a little muscle whilst losing the fat. This season I will be able to concentrate on burning the fat whilst maintaining the muscle I have built in the off season so I should get a lot leaner than last season ... we'll see

Doing 2 shows this year, BNBF Welsh in Newport on the 3rd of July ( Mum and Dad are coming to see yay !) and the BNBF Centrals in St Albans again on the 31st July.

I weighed 7st 5 when I competed and I'm nearly 9 stone now .. comparing myself to when I first started this last season when I weighed just under 8 stone.... I think I've put on a good 7/8lbs in muscle... lets hope I get enough fat off to show it

It's been quite hard accepting the additional fat gain that comes with bulking, although it's been kept to a minimum it's still hard seeing the condition go but hey... this is the BUILDING part of bodybuilding.
