I'm going on a school trip to JCB today with Uni. How very exciting. I might buy a digger

I normally hate having day release on Tuesdays as it buggers up my week, but it's a welcome relief at the moment. Work is manic to say the least.

JCBs are huuuuuuge fun, used to love working (playing) with them when I worked on the roads

God I love half terms when no teachers are around. Strolled in arond 8:20 (I'm meant to be in for 8), and got a text from my work mate to tell me he's not feeling well so he won't be in till tomorrow, so I'm on my own all day. I decided to crack on with todays work, and instead of it taking all day (a pc rebuild to fix an annoying problem) I figured out the problem inside 2 minutes. I can't really do any other work as it's all stuff that'll be soo much quicker when all 3 of us are in tomorrow, so I'm currently listening to the Foo's, surfing the web, and counting down the time till I can go home. I wish every week was like this, I'd quite enjoy work then

Steam cleaning a fan. No, I kid you not. Copious amounts of black stuff came off. Won't help the bedroom clearout, might help my health.

Don't worry, I won't be plugging it in for at least a week, and when I do, it'll be on a breaker and outside. If it don't work, no loss really.

Edit - Failed at getting the bedroom sufficiently cleared before going away, so I'll have to ring the company tomorrow and grovel for another week (they did agree I could have the time but was hoping to get it done sooner). I now have a full bin and a pile high enough to fill the bin twice more (three times once I get shredding again). Empty crates at last too - so I have room to put stuff. \o/

Sitting being dizzy and achey cos the paracetomol have worn off, and probably ought to wait another hour or so before the next dose. Meh!

Meantime added 2gb of ram to my main pc, making it have 3. Noticed how cheap ddr2 was, and found that's what this thing has, so went for it Loads stuff lots quicker now, so looks like a worthwhile feat.

Also scribbling rough network cabling ideas, and have some wall plug things for running cables through. Was hoping they take two cables, but alas only one (and the doubles only take 3, not 4). But hey, they're cheap

Also had a 3com 5 port gigabit switch thingy delivered today, looks nice. Not tried it yet!

Oh the exciting life I lead
