Be gone from this place!

I'm just downloading a load of trailers so I'll have an opinion shortly

GoW 2 - Looks like more of the same, however this is a very good thing
Fable 2 - Looks very promising but there is a bit of me that's a bit concerned because Fable 1 looked like it would be the ultimate game and it wasn't. Same with Black and White, so I've become a little suspicious of the promises Peter Molyneux makes And I know what you mean about the dog Leo.
Resi 5 - Pretty good, I'm not a huge fan of the series as I haven't played them much really But I'll certainly give this a bash.
FF13 - Erm I don't really need to say anything on this because my opinions on the series are quite well known
Star Ocean 4 - Looking excellent imo but I adore the series Gutted it's not out till next Spring though.
Tales of Vesperia - Didn't really grab me in the trailer but it didn't really give much away either.

I really enjoyed the first game as everyone knows and I think they will have addressed all the crappy stuff from the first. It looks like they've invested some serious time into the story and gone from there. 5 player co-op would be awesome though.

I have a similar worry too that he's going to promise all of this and it will fail to deliver. You understand what I meant now watching the video? Where is the other person's dog? One thing that would be sweet was if your co-op buddy's dog interacted with yours

Did you play number 4? If you haven't seriously beg, borrow, steal a copy and play it. I was never a fan until I played that. I just did not get along with the controls but the re-worked system really struck a cord with me.

Hey I'm willing to give it a try so will not be "be gone" I just have trouble betting into turn based games I find it breaks up the flow when I have to stop and plan it all I just like to get stuck in! hence my love of GOW

Not seen this yet will keep an eye out. Is it a turn-based RPG too?

Should be great then

Puppies? I'm sure it'll be a good game either way, just trying not to build up my expectations too much.

Nope, I've got it for the gamecube but not got round to playing it I aim to before 5 though.

You can be forgiven

Nope, neither of them are. It does switch to a battle screen during fights and there is a menu system but you can run up to the opponent yourself and attack. It's a bit of a weird hybrid mix really. I like it as you feel more involved in the fights. Have a look for a video of Eternal Sonata and they have that sort of fighting system.

Not in that way!!!!! I meant interact like you interact with the other players. Could be a good laugh though to try and steal each other's partners it seems you can do that, hahah

You need to give it a go.

If I can get stuck into the combat then I'll be happy.

I've been watching my vids from gametrailers.com

My ex-housemate (one that works for Lionhead, or whatever that branch of MS is now called) told me that Molyneux is reknowned for just going to press conferences and announcing features that will never make it to the game, and the programmers all just look at each other sweating worriedly. I'd wait for some concrete reviews before getting any kind of hopes up about it!

I can believe that considering some of the promises I've heard in the past
Might not put that on the pre-order list then, and see how things turn out first.

There's a great summary of the keynote on Inside Xbox. Well worth a couple of minutes if you have them

Is it just me getting tremendous satisfaction out of all the PS3 fanboys saying that FF was never the biggest series on the PS and that they're not really bothered?
