Whilst I don't "do" Valentines day, I get annoyed by people really advertising the fact they they don't "do" it, and the people who go "it was invented by Clintons to get you to buy cards". Well, no, SAINT Valentines was around a long time before a card shop.

I whole heartedly agree with the sentiment of "don't have a Valentine on Valentines day?, I don't have a mum on mothers day/ dad on fathers day" comments that are going round. I didn't have pancakes on pancake day :/

It annoys me how people blame the card companies saying "happy commercial love day" or "happy hallmark day" - they just made for a demand. No one gets pis*y with them for any other holiday so why this one?

I am very much of the opinion that you shouldn't need a date to remind you to tell someone you love them, but I'm not "against" valentines day. It doesn't have to be a romantic love - why can't it just be a day celebrating love of any kind?

People who 'social smoke'. I.e. they don't smoke, but when in a group of other 'social smokers' they act like chain smokers for the rest of the evening...

Ha! Annoying girl at work when we went out for our Christmas do, bought a pack of hamlet cigars. She says she buys a pack of them once a year and smokes them over Christmas. She was taking pictures of her holding one with her glass of Heineken.

I was going to say 'what about the ex-smokers who have the ability to still enjoy one now and then?'. But then I remembered for them it is just one sneaky wee one to enjoy and then no more.

Applying for jobs you are over qualified for and not getting them because the employer is worried its a step down in your career. I KNOW it's a step down, and that's what I'm aiming for. How about I make that decision??

People who get the smaller trollies and then pile stuff way too high on them - why not just get a big trolley, then you wouldn't be holding onto everything trying to balance it all!
