These are the same people who think 'at least I did it My Way' is an excuse for being awful to everyone and at everything. Thanks Frank, you prick.

See also the 'I regret nothing' people. If you regret nothing you also learned nothing, and showed that you didn't care about anyone you may have steamrollered along the way. Carry on though!

Am I totally insensitive here?

Ok, so Simple Minds did a gig at a venue in Lincoln a couple of weeks ago.

There is a local woman (not someone I know) who unfortunately wasn't able to attend the gig because she'd been diagnosed with Breast cancer and had to have surgery that week.

It's awful that she's been diagnosed with breast cancer and I wish her a speedy and full recovery. But, am I insensitive because I think it's not right that she's kicking up a big stink because a few weeks after the concert, the venue have refused to refund her for the tickets? She went in this week and is now threatening to contact the media about this ordeal.

They've offered her tickets in Hull in a few weeks, but that's no good for her.

About as insensitive as me getting reprimanded by a 'friend' who had a go at me because I updated my FB with a mundane status which was not about the Boston tragedy.

Yes I read the news and am very aware of what's going on... sometimes people need to know when to keep their mouths shut.

I know it's a tragedy... but I'll update with a more useful status later.

My trivial annoyance today is the UPS adverts "we have a secret weapon, a unique advantage..." - it's not a unique advantage if it's open to everyone, the clue is in the word "unique". Numpties.

Facebook practically instantly spots an censors pictures nudity (tasteful or not). However, despite me trying my best to avoid seeing it, I have now seen pictures that I didn't want to see (graphic pictures of victims of the Boston bombing with amputated limbs). I can tell you which I find more distressing.

I know it's probably easier for them to spot and remove nudity, but still it annoys me.

(Edit: I've since had people say it is a Photoshop if you look closely..... Why people would think I would want to look so closely at such a photo that I instantly want to look away from.)

Recipes that call for X Paste or X Powder.

I want a Madras recipe, I don't want to find a recipe that says "Add Madras Paste" or "Add Sharwoods Madras powder"

If I wanted to do that, I'd just go and buy them. I want to actually cook something myself thanks.

FFS.

The WORST one for this is "Chili powder" when the recipe already has Cayenne, Cumin, Coriander etc. in it.
Please FTLOG just scrap that all together, because no one brand of "Chili powder" is ever the same as another brand, and just add the right amounts of the constituent ingredients.
