I'll give it a go too.

I'm in a good stead already though. Just gone through the list and own over 90 on dvd... Over 20 on bluray.... This is what happens when you have no social life Kids...

[edit]
Added a blog post here - will give me an excuse to use it again rather than just as a image dumping ground.

There's no way I could manage to watch 5 films a week, especially not this year as I have to get married. Hell, I don't think I'll get close to watching the 134 I've not already seen without the use of redbull and pixie sticks
There's about a dozen films on the list I've seen and wouldn't want to waste time watching again as well. There's too much interesting cinema out there to watch a dull film twice.

So I'll be filling in the blanks where I can and at least that way I can decide whether to take issue with any of your reviews.

Is anyone else active on Flixster? I have a profile from my FB account. Is there a way of setting up a BD group so that we can see what we all thought of the films on the list?

Well i've got 'The Usual Suspects' and 'Schindlers List' on the way to me on rental, and I have tomorrow off, so I should be able to watch them during the day.

Watched 'The Fellowship of the Ring' last night, so that's one out of the way. I only watched it just before Christmas, but I could watch that film twice in a day quite happily and not get bored of it.

I think I'll watch Magnolia tonight. Fancy a laugh watching Tom Cruise witter on about worshipping the cock.

Watched the French Connection, never got round to watching it, great film, loved the good cop bad cop routine and I was expecting something bigger than the film rather than 3 french blokes doing all the smuggling

Oh and this is the easiest way i have found to keep track.

http://www.imdb.com/mymovies/list?l=40146571

I might watch Das Boot tonight.

edit wtf french connection is not in the top 250 ? oh well i am sure I saw it listed in the top 250

Also on the point of what should and shouldn't be in the Top 250 don forget that times change and the younger generation vote in their classic,

First batch of films lined up.

The Shawshank Redemption
The Godfather
The Godfather: Part II
The Dark Knight
King Kong

I've seen 4 of that 5 before but own them all on DVD or Bluray. Never seen The Shawshank Redemption *apparently it's a stoning offence...*

That's shocking. Three people I know of haven't seen it.
I have it on Blu-Ray.

Creature, you want the DVD?

Nice idea, works well.
Everyone should do this, makes it very easy .
Just create an "IMDb Top 250" catagory, then go to the movie you've watched, click "Add to My Movies" and move/copy it into the 'IMDb Top 250'.
Make that catagory public and we can all see .

Then post your link here and I'll add it up top. Makes it easy for those who don't have a site to post it on .
