LOL! Try the telnet command from above again, but using the new IP address. Just in case.

Odd. Very odd in fact. DMZ was clear, firewall was off, etc. I couldn't see anything obvious other than the port forwarding and the fact the router seemed to think you had three devices plugged in.

So, you can see why I'm baffled now. I do have 3 devices, my iPod is listed too. It's normally spared from the drunken-unplugging.

Might just be my xbox with that port open for whatever reason. Is yours on the network Mark? If it is you could nmap it (you'll need -PN though)

I'd have to reroute a few cables to put mine back on the LAN (I borrowed the Xbox cable for another PC).

How about going after the port Xbox Live uses (3074) instead?

I only had one reachable:

Code:
daz$ nmap -PN xbox

Starting Nmap 5.00 ( http://nmap.org ) at 2009-11-21 21:10 GMT
Interesting ports on 172.17.0.36:
Not shown: 999 filtered ports
PORT STATE SERVICE
1026/tcp open LSA-or-nterm

Nmap done: 1 IP address (1 host up) scanned in 31.73 seconds

When trying to network share files from console and PC, be it Xbox360 or PS3, I just install WinAMP Orb. Works every time on every network I've ever done it on.
