Better get a big long cable for my computer upstairs

Merci buckets Matt.. and everyone else. You've been reet helpful!! Is it OK to pick the router up at Swansea? My computer won't be up and running for another week or two anyway I owe you one of those funny posh beers that tastes of wood

p.s. WOOOO, THE INTERNET WORKS!!!!!!
Yes I can bring it to Swansea no problem. You do realise that this is a wireless hub as well as a switch/ router? and that with an appropriate card you can use it wirelessly? Might reduce the need to run cable

I've got a box of CAT5 and the tools to whip up a long cable, or a Netgear USB wireless adapter you could have. The latter will cost you a beer though, it's reasonably useful

Sure. I don't have the information to hand but I'll dig it out at the weekend and send it over.

One thing though, the iBook will have to be cabled up to the internet, not using wireless.
