Do you honestly believe he could have avoided the police/car wrecks etc that many times?? Just walked out of so many buildings unchallenged that happened to have no officers outside the building, to make sure no-one came out? To clamber along skylines un-noticed? To keep all his passports/money etc even though he kept climing around in jeans and a bomber jacket? And of course the US government are to blame - when aren't they?

It was like one very long and far less believable episode of 24 imo.

It's not meant to be 100% believable, it is a film. Are you saying you hate all the Bond films as well then, considering they're far less believable than the Bourne films?

This pisses all over any bond film ever made and IMO much more believeable that a Bond film.

I guess it's each to their own - I think it's relatively believeable maybe bar the extreme situations - but walking in and out of buildings un-challenged, I know it's possible for example, and hte US government ARE to blame, they made him and what they made break

I don't know I thought it was close enough to my dealings with such people to feel suitably convinced. Of course there's a lot of artistic licence and fiction - it's a film after all, the hero has to win!

Besides he's built like a tank - he can take a few knocks and he's been well trained, and hyper efficient and not on the same plane of perception than others around him. He notices and behaves in a way that makes him almost invisible - training WILL do that I can assure you.

Anyway when all is said and done, it's just a film, a bit of fun, and it#'s not for everyone. But life's boring without a pointless debate

I like to think that the training he underwent has made him a machine that works perfectly (and subconciously) on instinct - always knowing the best probable exit, lines of sight, the least crowded escape route etc. Fundamentally, he's just infinitely more efficient than those around him, including the local police who aren't shown to be inept, just underestimating and outclassed. Also, didn't he have a bag for all his stuff?

Really? I would have put it entirely the other way around. The scrapes Jack Bauer gets out of are ridiculous by comparison.

I know there's little point me trying to change anyone's mind (well, about as much as anyone else convincing me it was crap!), just thought I'd give my spin on it.
