You should get yourself and Huddy over for a bit one night to take a look.

I think we'll probably be going for teh 40"+ model as opposed to 32" might stick with the 37" as the 40 could be too big.

The 40'' do not look that big in the shop. However once you measure up the space for the LCD TV at home you soon find out that either the TV is to big or the lounge is too small ! :undecided:

I really wanted a 37'', and if Samsung made my model in a 37'' I would have brought and made it fit
TBH the 32'' screen is plenty big enough, and the bigger screens use the same resolution, so in fact the 32'' does give a slightly better picture than a 37 and better than a 40 / 42.

I watch Slide shows on DVD that I have created on PC from holiday pic's from my SLR and they look great

I had a look at sets on Friday evening and the Panasonic TX-32LXD700 is absolutely superb. It's being delivered next week One thing I was very keen to see was it's SD performance and it looked excellent.

I've been having a read around today and found this on avforum

Again I must stress that one of the main benefits ive found on this TV set is the SD picture. Yes, HD and PC via vga look great too, but you expect that from a set of this brand and price. But the SD really is a massive improvement on other LCDs ive seen.

in the hdtvorg review they said.....

"We had to blink and re-focus when looking at SD content on the TX32LXD700 for the first time, not quite believing that we weren't looking at a high definition picture. You need to get really up close to the screen before detecting any blurriness, video noise or motion smearing"

I completely go along with this finding. SD is stunning.
It seems as though people have been waiting for this set for months and it only appeared on the market a few weeks ago. It's widely rated as probably the best 32" LCD currently available.

I chose wisely
