It was doomed to failure from about 5PM last night. I had planned to hang up the forum 'boots' until after the birthday because I was fully expecting this one to go pear shaped, and I wasn't wrong. I even seem to be missing a few birthday cards. I won't bore you with all the other grisly details but suffice to say I only just got home. :/

Oh well, I'm just going to make like the Queen and have a second birthday on Saturday. I have the food, and I have the wine, and I have the unopened cards. Works for me.
