Scoffed whilst cooking. There was plenty of time in between to eat it
Leon jetwashed it, brought it in to dry and it's been in the house ever since

lol thanks. I wasn't too strong on the presentation... I was just trying to get it out the kitchen on time God knows how people managed to burn stuff. Loads of people fudged up the potatoes too and I've absolutely no idea how. I did them again last night. 3 min parboil, 30 mins in oven, perfect. HOW did they muck it up?
The bloke who set up the group has been practicing all week and he managed to bugger up all 3 courses!! hehe I don't think people were actually listening to Gordon and maybe left some steps out??? It wasn't exactly difficult, just fast-paced. Helped that I'd read the recipes etc. beforehand though.

Well it did say you'd need preparation. I couldb't believe the state of some people's. Even the desserts looked manky.
The repeat is on tonight and I wanted to watch it but Phil is watching the snooker. Boooo.

The dessert was SOOO easy, but I notice that he didn't take his chocolate off the saucepan when he took it off the heat, so it didn't cool down much. I think that's where people mucked theirs up. Overwhipped the cream and the choc was still too warm.

Watched the repeat for this, i was going to cook along it looked fun, but i went out for a mates 21st instead, and ate a kebab on the way home. He wouldn't be proud of me!
To make up today i made a perfect home-made double layer cottage pie though I may try the scallops if I'm feeling overtly flush (which as a student i never really am). |

Starter
Warm goat's cheese salad with an apple and walnut vinaigrette Main course Salmon en croute with herbed new potatoes and garlic sautéed broccoli Dessert Caramelised rhubarb and ginger crumble with clotted cream Personally not my cup of tea, don't really like Goats Cheese, not a fan of Salmon and I hate Rhubarb. Like the sound of the Broccoli though. Yummo!! Also, rather bizarrely, he's chosen Rhubarb completely out of season (Spring). Last edited by NokkonWud; 17-10-2008 at 11:07. |
