It's a bit hard to explain the differences. It feels very much different and I've noticed it tends to be people that go from 1.6 to Source that notice it the most.
I'm not going into it further because really they are completely different games that probably shouldn't be compared imo (And yes I know I'm guilty of it). The FAMAS is a great gun, very underrated because it's so simple to get headshots with.

The few games I tried it was much the same thing, spawn, move, die. Repeat. I even managed to get a few shots off occasionally.
Seemed OK though, but practise is going to be important methinks.

Damn,... this has got me tempted to give it a go now. I have HL2 and Lost coast which I completed with much annoyance (I hate completing games - it means it's over )...
I might look into it when I get back from Cyprus....

Practice is pretty crucial in CS unfortunately. Worth it imo though, same with TFC.

Really getting quite into this now, my own server is running so I can play with it and get the feel.
Jen, can you advise me on maps - I've seen some on servers which are just basically scenes for all out frag fests but with no ultimate objective and with guns thrown around all over the place. Is there a list of what's generally accepted to be the 'top ten' of maps somewhere? What should I be playing with and familiarizing myself with?

Todays lesson - make sure your copy of CS is patched up before you waste an evening trying to connect to Feek's server
