I didn't think they had steelies as standard? Didn't they have the P style ones? Anyway, I now have loads of respect for you because I had a MkII as my first car and loved it. It was so resilient, even though the first owner never changed the oil in 13 years of ownership. I have a haynes manual somewhere if you want it.

Yep the steelies are standard mejinks. It was an option to have alloys If you manage to find that manual, I'd be very grateful if you're prepared to part with it

It's going to look much nicer once the wheels are sprayed.

You'll just need to learn to drive "Golf" now.
The trick is, at no point should the car have more than any three of it's wheels in contact with the road surface.

Nice car to have on a long journey, but too heavy (and particularly too nose heavy) for a hoon-mobile.

A word of suggestion? The white bit under the rear bumper would look SO much better in either a matte or flat black to match the bumper.

Other than that it's coming up nicely!! Very good job on the waxing. I wish my Jeep would look that good. And it's just over half the age of your car!!

That was at the Nurburgring in May this year
Your golf does look pretty awesome, wish my paint was that good, not sure I can be bothered to do all that rubbing though, can I drop it round sometime....
