The public from this country are stupid. Some of the past winners of shows are laughable.
Remember, Lemar, despite being the best RnB singer to possibly EVER come out of this country only came 3rd on Fame Academy behind Sinead and David 'the Sned' Sneddon. In the second series of it Alex won despite not being able to sing a single note. |

That's because we go for the personality and not the talent. I agree that it should come into it a little but not as much as the voting sometimes shows.

My mate said that too, but remember, Leona beat Ray and Ray had the best personality of anyone on X-Factor.

Ray was great entertainment, but he should never have beaten Ben in the semi final. Leona was undoubtedly the best singer that year, but Ben deserved to be in the final. His version of Maggie May was awesome.

Speaking of Leona being the best singer that year, did anyone see her on the results?
Truly World Class. In fact, when you class singers like Mariah, Whitney and Celine as 'World Class' from the seniors, and even Alexandra this year you need to create a new catagory for Leona because she absolutely blows them away. Her version of 'Run' Live is the second best I've ever heard anyone sing live, she's just phenomenal. She has so much range, so much power and her control is exceptional all over her spectrum, it's mind blowing. Her ability to hold notes as well as manipulate them on the fly is just jaw-dropping. She is mesmerizing to watch. It's clear Alexandra is the best act this year vocally, but Leona being on is probably the worst thing that could have happened because now you can truly hear the gulf in class where Alexandra sounds so clumsy in the lower ranges and shouty in the power notes. God she's good. Last edited by NokkonWud; 17-11-2008 at 19:42. |
