Had no problem with the airport level, just treated them like any other targets and anything in range that wasn't already being shot at got filled with lead.

I can obviously understand why it's not pleasant viewing, it's civilians being murdered rather than KIA like all your other targets are. However, I saw it no more controversial than film scenes where mass-murder occurs, the only difference is that you take on the role yourself, rather than watching it in third-person. The story and script is set in stone, whether you kill nobody or kill loads, the Makarov-Allen story arc unfolds the same way, so it's very much like a film in that regard you're just part of the story rather than purely watching it.

Make it viewer discretion sure, but the people calling for it to be banned are idiots.

Lucky at the end though, only a couple of seconds left as Leo said, so just legged the last bit. Chucked a grenade ahead of me into the barn, didnt kill anyone, but they ran in the opposite direction so I could enter safely.

Real good fun though. Just talking about it makes me want to play again
