Leo is an absolute star

Couldn't have done it without him

Went in the shop, nervous as hell due to having the confidence of a gnat at the moment, asked for the manager, explained how Leo had called up. Manager instantly said 'and I told him to send it to MS, we won't take it', slightly interrupted him with 'He then called your Head Office and they said it was fine', cue the Manager backing down immediately!
He mumbled a bit about how Head Office told him not to take any back so he doesn't know what they're doing these days, then was as nice as pie as he swapped them round for me

So I can haz new 360 \o/ \o/

So what actually went down? Leo, did you ring the store and complain or something?

Edit: Ah, I see. Surely if your console is less than a year old they have absolutely no leg to stand on when they say they won't take it back. They legally have to.

I think the manager was just trying to fob us off and didn't expect Leo to call head office. And of course gave in as soon as he realised!

What store was it? I'm not surprised they do it to be honest, as they assume (rightly, generally) that people don't know their legal rights, especially given that MS do offer a free repair service. Glad you got it sorted now, especially with Fable here as well

Pretty much what Jen said!

Rang the store and spoke to the manager (Josh), explained that we had an arcade bought last December and it has RRoD so need it swapping. He said no has go go off to MS even though it's less than 12 months old. So decided to ring the head office, spoke to Andy there told me that was rubbish, they should swap it and if i have any problems call back. Jen took over from there.
