A quick update regarding Dead Space. It's scary. It's jumpy. It turns the lights out when you don't expect it, then makes noises from all around you. It makes Condemned seem like a walk in the park with fluffy bunnies.

And I love it so far

It's the atmosphere that does it. The way the lights move, casting shadows around you. The noises you hear, skitterish noises making you think something is about to jump out at you. And just when you think everything is clear, something *does* jump out at you, from a vent, from the ceiling, from the floor, from anywhere. Plus the usual tactics of aiming for the head isn't as effective as usual, you have to dismember them, which is always good fun watching them crawl after you without legs
