I worked Saturday, however as my laptop is broken I had to sit in a dark open-plan office to do it. Went on a biscuit raid though. Have stolen from the biscuit-rich and given to the biscuit-poor. Spent Saturday evening with Tanya watching a film.
Today, my brothers birthday so have spent the day making him teas. Reading through this thread, I've noticed we all work too much. We must all agree to end this madness!

Yesterday I did not much except attempt to break out the Xbox for the first time in what seems like forever (probably about a month), only to discover that the battery in the controller was dead and point blank refused to charge. :/
Today after much plugging and unplugging I got the battery to charge, so I went and broke my shredder instead (actually, it's just getting old - been worked like crazy the last few months and I have yet another big bag full of shredded paper for the binmen to do as they please with tomorrow). Oh, and I've also been playing with laptops. I've got a Netbook on trial (have to decide whether to keep it or send it back by mid-April). It's up against the old N410c I got last year. In truth, the N410c is old and battered (it shows) and doesn't have wireless or a card reader, but it is better built. Decisions. :/ PS - If I keep the Netbook, the N410c goes up for sale here. Well I had a really crap week last week, being at home Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with an absolute stinkingly nasty sore throat and a cough that was so bad I was tasting blood.
Saturday was a lot better and we went out to a local carvery with my brother, sister, their partners and mum for her birthday. Which was nice. The carvery was excellent and at just £8/head it was a good deal. Their weekday price is just a fiver so I think we'll be going back. Today has been taken up by watching the GP and generally just plonking around the house. Mum popped over for a couple of hours this afternoon. Back to work tomorrow.

I have had a q weekend, Lom is poorly sick so I have been mostly being harassed to bits by the kids. I should have been at work Friday and Saturday night but booked Friday off to go to the Natural History Museum in Oxford with Josh and the rest of his class.
Dinosaurs, awesome! That's Josh examining the toenails of a T-rex! We (as a group) got kicked out of the museum due to one kid kicking off, going garrity and generally being a pain in the backside. Me and Josh didn't even see/hear this, we were up in the gallery looking at chiggers and bed bugs. Lom died a bit more on Sat so I stayed off work to look after the kids. Tried to get Lom into the out of hours up at the hospital but there was a 4 hour wait to speak to someone at NHS Direct for an appointment Today we went into town for a bit, Lom upgraded her phone (she's been depserate to do it but too ill to get into the CPW), came home via Morrisons with pizza. Kids bathed and bedded (except Ella who is being nocturnal tonight). I can has Stella and Morgans Spiced Rum. Some days it's good to be the King.

We had quite a nice weekend
Friday night was pizza and bowling (I won ). Saturday was a fairly relaxed food shopping day and popped in to town for some other bits and pieces. Saturday night was school reunion night where I met up with a load of old friends Sunday was a fairly lazy day of watching my nephew play football, a bit of cleaning and tidying and then veggin' out with some TV

Not the best weekend for this household unfortunately but we'll struggle on!
We're currently enjoying a break from work for 8/9 days and had a fantastic trip to Kernow visiting my family, sploring and generally being outdoors whilst enjoying family company, sun, food & wines. We stopped off at The Eden Project on the way home and also 'explored some Devonshire villages' (read Getting Lost). The rest of our plans have unfortunately been cut short as our car has broken down and has left us stranded at home Slightly disapointing but we'll get around to our plans in the near future and just have to enjoy a mahoosive few days of DVD's, snuggling and home made noms
