Well, I've had an interesting chat with my colleague and it seems you were right. Apparently, any sans serif font, with letters such as 'a' and 'g' which are formed like Comic are good as long as they are well spaced. An MS study also found that Verdana and Helvetica were good for dyslexics and visually impaired people.

We have guidelines to follow for the handouts we produce, and are advised to use Verdana or Helvetica, for the dyslexic aspect, and under no circumstances to use Times new Roman or Comic sans, as one looks like you don't know how to change the default font, and one is unprofessional.

The reason not to use a serif font is that when you enlarge it say 300-400% the serifs actually become a hindrance when you read a line of text.

I just received an email:

Quote:
Dear Feek,

Further to your recent conversations with us regarding your mobiles. I understand that on this occasion we were unsuccessful in winning your business.

Could I ask the main driver for choosing the company you went with?

Look forward to hearing back.

Best Regards,

Melvin Hoy
How tempting is it to reply:

Dear Melvin,

It's because all your emails are in Comic Sans.

Love Feek.

DO IT

I always use Arial, Tahoma, or Verdana for documents, etc

You're on Boat Drinks, reading the signature your signature could be like.
I'm on a computer.
