Is that plus VAT? Not too bad compared to the website price. I think the 2007's we have at work are warranty til ~mid 2009 and about £225 + vat. Don't know if it's the latest revision though (unlikely).
Rumour has it Dell will be using viewsonic parts for their screens soon? |

Yes, plus VAT but you're missing the point that the first prices are in Europs and the second ones are in Sterling.
440€ is about £280 so a bit more expensive than the £230 I was quoted by my UK supplier. But 660€ is about £440 which is a heck of a lot cheaper than the £630 I was quoted by our UK bod. So someone's made a mistake.

Arse, Mr. Dell hasn't sorted my order or given me monitor prices yet. I've just left him a voicemail and told him to stop pissing about and get it sorted.
I checked, and my 2407 came in at £450, the 2007 at £230. |

Mr. Dell has given me a quote and I ain't terribly impressed with it.
2007 - £230 2407 - £405 3007 - £815 Prices are ex VAT. Add a tenner on to get a 3 year warranty. |

Thanks Burbs. They're higher than I expected I think.
I was quoted some more figures today but I'm not sure until tomorrow whether they include VAT or not so I can't comment on how they compare

Best prices I've had so far are £225 for the 2007 and your £405 for the 2407.
So it's cheaper to buy a 2007 from a little computer place in Maldon than it is to buy it through a Dell account manager by a customer who spends multiple hundreds of thousands of pounds! Stupid. The situation has changed slightly, I'm probably about a month to five weeks away from buying so it's a good bet I'll have enough cash to go for the 2407, unless there's a new model out then. Knowing my luck there will be and it'll be a case of starting all over again *sigh*

I doubt the 2407 will disappear for a while yet. There is talk of a 2707 but I'm not sure how far that's progressed (and it'll cost more, obviously).

Did you try the trick of laughing when he gave you the prices?
