That's exactly what we did Del Lardo. Bought something well within our budget that is a comfortable size, so that if there is a crash or interest rates do fly up, then we can afford to sit tight until it's all over.

Wise choice!

I might try that regularly, but have to make sure the net curtains haven't blown open - otherwise the neighbours might get more than they bargained for.

Exactly the same with my parents. In reality there will be stuff "left behind" but that's only because you never know when that time will come. My mother says that, if she knew exactly when they were going to "check out", she'd budget accordingly and fly everywhere first class
