She's lovely! With two lovely people like you she's going to be a wonderful character. You going to do any training with her? Or just do it yourselves? I bet you can't stop playing with her!

Aww. All tired now!
Will - I don't reckon we'll get her trained elsewhere... we've always trained our puppy dawgs ourselves and it seems to go well! (Though saying that, our German Shepherd puppy,Sofie, was helped to train by a police dog trainer! Was rather funny actually, he got my Ma and Sofie in a big field with lots of walkers and said to my Mum: Alan: "With a dog, you should try to only use one word commands such as "come" and "sit" ok?" Ma: "Yup!" Alan: "Right lets get Sofie to come to us." *marches across field with Ma whilst Sofies plonked in the back of the van" Alan: "COME....... COME SOFIE......... COME............ SOFIE COME.....COME......COME SOFIE" *Ma smiles* *Sofie sits in van not budging* Alan: "Okay, what do you normally say to get her to come?" Ma *shouting in a high pitch voice*: "SooOOoofiiieeee, CoooOOOMe to MUuuUMMmmY!" *Sofie bounds across the field wagging* Alan: "If you think I'm going to stand in a middle of a public field and shout that.... it's not going to happen!" Took Alan a good few days to train her out of "come to mummy"! Though inevitably, my Ma continued to say it! This is Trio playing "Boundy boundy boundy!" I jiggle around and bound out into the kitchen.... then bound back into the lounge like I'm riding some crazy horse, whilst calling "BooounnNNnnDyy BoooUUUunnNDY BboooOOOuuUUUnnDy!"! Trio loves it! She bounds along behind me..... then turns and gets chased into the lounge! It absolutely zonks her out though! (as well as me... spesh after dinner!) |
