Missed this - The Channel 4 news theme (unless it's changed) is generic royalty free stuff, we used it as a bed for some of our jingles when I was involved with an *ahem* local radio station many years ago. It may even have been before Channel 4 were using it. I wish I could find the tape of our recording session done by Bob Tomalski, the out-takes were hilarious.

Groovy though that is, I still have a feed flooded with the wonders of "Helen found a erroneous elephant in farmville and wants to share it with her friends' and 'Brian has purchased an atomic weapon in Mafia and plans to hold up a public toilet with it'. Often these are people who I am vaguely interested in but I'm not interested in their progress in what is essentially an electronic chain letter and if I block that I will block all their update. This makes me sad

Gotta be ruthless, I did the same thing, hid loads and loads of peoples status updates, (cos they cant seem to get through the day without updating it 10 times), and as such, missed a birth announcement

I did too. Some people I really like are mega annoying on SN sites & others are just obsessed with status updates about stuff that bores me to tears. You can love someone but not their interests!
