Not true. I checked Currys.digital on our local high street. They had CX300s (no II).

Shure SE530 update.

Well - set number 4 failed during burn-in :mad: Right earpiece has lost a driver or two.

I am NOT a happy person right now. Shure seems to have some serious quality control issues at the moment.

4 failures in a year is unacceptable!

So - buy the Shures for their sound quality, but you're probably going have to use their RMA services - bloody good job they are the best RMA services I've used.

Haha i couldn't give a monkeys how good they are, i'm not someone who'd be RMA'ing something 4 times a year...

Have you considered moving over to try someone like Ultimate Ears?

I'd imagine the triple.fi would be the competition to the SE530

They may well be - I found them uncomfortable. I'd need to get custom moulded sleeves for them. They also stick out a long way, the Shures fit very nice in the curley bit of the ear *I'm sure it has a proper name, but I've no idea what it is.

Still have my ACS T1's for everyday usage though.

SE530's are mainly for the gym or when I head to London.

To be fair - the first set lasted 9 months roughly and it was a known issue that I was living with until I got my T1's made.

They used to use a less flexible cable which could split exposing the copper wires.

The other 3 have been driver failures - they have also had the new flexible wire... hmmm...

Custom moulded earplugs that filter equally across all the frequencies.

That is because I'm at a live show though and want to preserve my hearing.
