Not true. I checked Currys.digital on our local high street. They had CX300s (no II).

Shure SE530 update.
Well - set number 4 failed during burn-in  Right earpiece has lost a driver or two. I am NOT a happy person right now. Shure seems to have some serious quality control issues at the moment. 4 failures in a year is unacceptable! So - buy the Shures for their sound quality, but you're probably going have to use their RMA services - bloody good job they are the best RMA services I've used.

Ouch
Have you considered moving over to try someone like Ultimate Ears? I'd imagine the triple.fi would be the competition to the SE530

Still have my ACS T1's for everyday usage though. SE530's are mainly for the gym or when I head to London.

They used to use a less flexible cable which could split exposing the copper wires. The other 3 have been driver failures - they have also had the new flexible wire... hmmm...

For the basic ones. Yes.
I have coloured shells *extra few quid* and a couple of extra tweaks, *different connector, shorter cable and an extension lead* Also have had the gel impressions made so they don't need to recast my lugs if I have any issues. Made me wince when I paid for them. I was thinking of the T2's but the T1's were released and what went though my mind was essentially "What the hell, it's only money!" Stupid? Yes. Worth it? Yes!

That is because I'm at a live show though and want to preserve my hearing.
