I went along to an install with an AT&T guy when they launched in Chicago (uVerse for Darrin) and he installed a total of 8 STBs in the house to cover the 8 TVs.

In my last house we had more TVs than we had rooms (7 room and 8 TVs) though only a couple of them were used on a regular basis. Now I only have one TV in the living room though I often watch TV (iPlayer and downloads) on my laptop or the PC in my office.

Judging how much I watch is rather tricky but it's anything from 20-50 hours a week.

As Kate said, we have one TV which is hooked up the home cinema/XBOX/NTL.

We don't watch a huge amount of telly really...... Recently started watching Flashforward and True Blood, both of which we like. Then there are the odd cooking programmes, Kate quite likes Masterchef.
Strictly Come Dancing and sometimes Casualty at the weekend.

Don't watch any sport other than the F1.

No morning/breakfast TV, TV never goes on until the evening if at all.

We might get another TV for upstairs so that Kate can watch cooking stuff when I'm playing the XBOX.

We got 3

40" Samsung in the lounge that is used for general day to day viewing, PS3, Xbox & Wii

26" Samsung in Conservatory that I use as my PC monitor. Never used it as a TV yet.

32" in bedroom that we have never used yet.

As for viewing habbits, very rarely do we get time to sit down together and watch stuff together apart from a film at weekend. A lot of our stuff is recorded to watch at a later date.

I have a 32" at the foot of my bed (fnar etc.) but currently it's not connected to anything except the Xbox. Not watched TV in four weeks and haven't missed it.

We only have two, a 42" LCD in the living room used for Sky/Xbox 360/Playstation/Wii. We've got a 21" CRT in the bedroom which we use occasionally for movies but that's it. We tend to flick between a few TV channels at night but mainly use the 360 to stream TV programs and films from the PC upstairs instead.

2 TVs with Freeview and we watch way too much TV. Probably like 2 hrs or more a day which is a complete waste of my life and I am to address that. I'm always intrigued by people who watch no TV and actually go out and do stuff instead. I guess it's the trade-off that going out and doing stuff costs money while sitting in watching TV costs no more than the TV licence and a bit of electricity. Being a miser usually means I'll go for the cheaper option

We've also got a knackered one in the spare room that we need to throw out and an old black and white that she is sentimental about, so despite the fact that it's partially melted and useless at the same time... we'll never get rid of the thing

Oh, and they're all CRT's. One was free, dumped in the front garden, one was given to us, one was a present and god knows where the b&w came from.

We have three TV's here for two people. One in each bedroom and one in the lounge. I don't think that is too bad to be honest

What I think it worse is that there are 3 computers for 2 people

Hmmm watching TV wise, I have the tv on most of the time when I am home,mostly because I don't like silence, I switch from watching it and doing things on the web. My mom watches about 2 to 3 hours an evening.

One TV here, in the living room.

As I work evenings, I don't watch much during the week, but we have a few bits on record over the week which is usually watched on a Friday evening.

Phil has started just putting it on of an evening because the chinchillas like it.

The only time I'll have it as background noise is when we are eating in there, as I hate ambient silence when eating!!
