After watching a few episodes from the Anime Channel of Bleach, Full Metal Alchemist and Ghost In The Shell: SAC, I've gone ahead and picked up the 1st 2 Ghost in the Shell movies and the first season on SAC. Gonna try and get hold of Bleach and FMA at some point as well.

Before this the only other stuff I've watched is Akira and Spirited Away (which is amazing). So I'm kinda glad there is finally a channel for Anime in the UK.
Gits is awesome. Brilliant brilliant series. Bleach is also fantastic fun. I take it the Anime Channel is dubbed? Death note is also a great series, pretty dark but cool.

Aye, it's dubbed. I know a few people who have seen the originals with subs and prefer it, but I don't know any different so it's good to me.

I doubt I could get into the dub. I've seen Bleach from ep1 subbed. I think it would be strange.

This could be handy for everyone.... get hold of the Community Codec Pack from Anime Supreme. I have just reinstalled and got the latest version. Simply it plays everything straight away! Coupled with the new zoom player its very slick, none of the messing around finding the correct codec / version of ffd show

I'm after some new anime but have no idea what is and isn't good. I love GITS and just about to order the 2nd gig boxset, Seen the first season of Bleach so getting hold of that. Apart from that really I have no idea. Would prefer shows though if at all possible. Also, where is the best place to buy them from?

I like watching:
Naruto (although shinpudden is no where near as good as pre-timeskip, fillers not included).
Bleach
Claymore - This one is cool, about half human, half demon women who go round killing other demons.
Deathnote - Really cool storyline, involving loads of twists etc.... ends a bit poo tho imo.
Berserk - I like this one too.

Watched loads of others to tho, other memorable ones include, Samurai Champloo, Ninja Scroll (original, didnt like the series), Ghost in a shell, Street Fighter... and of course full metal alchemist.

Death Note is awesome. Very dark. I'm currently enjoying Gundam 00. Nothing like mech on mech action.

It's a bit of an old one now, but I HIGHLY recommend Read or Die. There's a 3 episode OVA that comes first (kind of like a miniseries if you're not familiar with them) which is then followed by a 26 episode series (often referred to as Read Or Die TV on the net) - it's important to watch the OVA first as it introduces some important characters.

The whole series is kind of like a Japanese X-Men, and gets bonus points for having part of it set in London with members of the British Library Special Forces Division joining in the fight.

I also recommend Great Teacher Onizuka - you can't go wrong with a story about a thug from a biker gang deciding he wants to become a teacher

I've not been impressed with a lot of the new anime this year, though I've heard that Claymore is very good, so I may have to pick that up.

Cowboy Bebop and Full Metal Alchemist. Both are epic!

Never been into anime, but these both having amazing audio, which is what I go for in a lot of media.
