It's going to be difficult to judge 'Everything Everywhere' for a while due to the impending merger. It could be good (best of both networks), or it could be dire (shoe-horning both sets of customers into one lot of capacity).
The new company name doesn't bode well though - not that most people will know as both Orange and T-Mobile brands are due to survive. |

This is something that's started cropping up more frequently amongst sources I read and in podcasts:
Crackberry users on AT&T rarely report problems. How much are iPhone users having problems due to the phone rather than the network? I presume that's what is behind the steel bands. Funny thing is I used to have a phone with an aerial on it, and it clearly said that covering the aerial was both disruptive to it's ability to work and also potentially hazardous to health.

If you haven't already seen, the iPhone 4 upgrade costs are out. Early upgrade is £20 for every month left on your contract + handset cost (not released yet)

O2 have also announced the end of their "unlimited" data mobile contracts. Users will now have a 500Mb/1Gb cap depending on their package.

I've had my current iPhone for about six months, in that time I've passed less than a gigabyte of data. A 500Mb/month package would be more than enough for me.

The providers are beginning to realise they've left themselves up an expensive creek without a paddle with unlimited.
Took the ISP industry long enough, and BT swiftly twigged their business model needed changing (spawning the 21CN project). I guess it was only time until the mobile phone companies caught up.
