Yes, people have died, committed suicide, had their health ruined by the substances they used to use to clean screens, and so on. But then the Chinese don't care much for labour laws, so there are very few of them. I'm more worried by the number of cases you don't hear about involving other companies than the ones you do involving Apple - at least they are motivated to try to do something about it.
