The layout of everything feels right to me. It's all within reach.

The space behind the seats is the same to me, I have my seat all the way down and back making it a bit of a squeeze in the back, but I'm sure that a small person could get in there. Still more space than my Megane.

The handling is still the best thing though.

I'm begining to talk myself out of it a little, mostly because of the S3 but until I drive it I won't know, roll on Saturday 9.30am.

I was quite shocked at Rilots revelations about the actual 0-60 time and the power output, its pretty consistant for the Audi so it will be interesting to see how fast it actually feels in comparison. I'm not a finesse driver and although I love the cornering in the Clio I long for the explosive acceleration the Revo'd S3 might give

Hmmmmm

Well I've driven the S3, and I was impressed, impressed but the acceleration and impressed by the build quality

However I didn't find it very engaging to drive, a little lacking in character and with quite a high agression factor, I have a feel I would either have to drive it very very hard or just feel numb all the time.

On the way back from there I thought, lets go and have a nose around some other dealerships, H was game so we looked in Toyota (don't like the new Celica) and Nissan (350Z is too expensive) however the Nissan dealer is opposite the BMW dealer and we thought we'd take a wander over and have a look at what they had. Whilst we were there I found a car I really really liked, they were busy but took my details and gave a call 30 minutes later asking if I could go back for a test drive this afternoon. I was there for two hours in which I saw some brilliant customer service and drove a car which made me smile like a 3 year old given a lollypop, not a fast car but an exhilerating drive, 6 gears which is something I wanted for the long trips to meets and to see mum and dad and massively fun around town with a ltd slip dif and tons of character

So I am now seriously thinking about buying brand new, the car comes with 3 year warentee and all servicing is included in the price for 5 years!

£19k for the spec I want and it has one of the best residuals of any car currently on the market so I feel that I'm just investing rather than throwing my cash away.

I must be mental! But I can't help but smile

My opinion of the new Mini *in all of it's guises* is well known....

http://www.boat-drinks.co.uk/showthread.php?t=329 - contained in there.

Horrid car.

Not surprised that the S3 didn't float your boat as it were...
Great car - but seriously dull.

OMG I agree with Simon!

Seriously though Matt, if you enjoyed it, go for it. It's for you and if it brings a smile to your face then it's all good.
