But do I actually need the HD to do stuff? Does it just limit the online content or can I not save ANY game I've been playing?

you can't save anything unless you get a memory card

They range from 64mb to 512mb which are around £30-35 on ebay. You might be worth trying gamestation or somewhere to se if they have any hds.

Trouble is, you're then looking at 60/70 quid for the hard drive, and then it's more effective to just get the premuim.

You can get the smallest, 64MB imported from Japan on ebay for about a tenner, but you're only going to be able to save games, realistically you wont be able to download much - including game patches, without which you get kicked off live.

Well for a HD there is this and if you use google checkout you get a tenner off so it comes to £34.99. When you go to the checkout it gives a twickenham address not the Shanghai one. Might be worth a look

I'm not updating till tonight so you can owe me a fiver Daz
Too much to do first unfortunately

The messenger support isn't much use to me but a nice feature. When I set up XBL for some reason it didn't like my hotmail.com address so I registered with my .co.uk address which I only ever used to talk to my ex so he'd better not PM me

Looks like that one is about six weeks out of date.

Is it also sad that I've reserved my "Pigmo" xbox live tag?
