I did wonder if that thread would be linked to over here.
I'm not surprised by a lot of the responses but as has been highlighted there has been a semblance of debate in there too which is somewhat heartening to see. Quite a few of the responses do doubtless go over the line of what could even vaguely be construed as constructive criticism but to a certain extent once you've chosen to put yourself 'out there' so to speak then I think you simply have to deal with it (and hopefully people who do so have the unshakeable confidence/good backup from friends and family to do so).

I am just catching up, and I am almost in tears.
People have said to me before, they think I am a very confident person. I personally have never seen it, if others see that in me, then thats fine This thread is making me doubt myself. I am starting to feel fat, and overweight, and a complete munter. How the hell can a bunch of twats from the ****ing internet make me feel that way? Pheebs, you're very brave for getting stuck in there. I cant even attempt a reply, it will get shat all over |

I'd say go with Pete's advice, you would be arguing with and trying to persuade people who don't bother with logical arguments, not at all worthwhile, particularly over an issue that can and does upset you.

If they were put in front of me and told to say what they have again to my face... I would look at them in a way which would make them wet their pants. They mean nothing. They are probably either scrawny n00bs and never had a girlfriend in their life, let alone see a woman naked before OR just chauvinistic pigs with nothing better to do but to act like they have willies the size of the statue of liberty. Do not, please DO NOT make their comments make you feel poo about yourself. I very easily feel poo about my body but what they are saying is just ridiculous and disgusting and completely and utterly behind-the-screen bull. It's not applicable in every day life... they're living in some kind of fantasy world which doesn't exist. So I'm not taking what they're saying to heart. I'm just wanting to tell them their stupid pratts and trying to make them realise it - if not at least make others realise they are. Morons. |

Why don't you post a pic of some pastey faced skinny teenage nerb hiding behind his desk when at that age they should be actually outside living a life & rip the crap out of him, See if it rings any bells.
