When you register your Gamertag with a console. I lost my months free because I registered my Gamertag on xbox.com before getting the box.

Think of it this way. You're going to get one eventually anyhow. This deal is particularly cheap thus you'll save money if you buy it now rather than later when it's not there anymore.

If you can do it now I'd seriously suggest you do it. As you saw buying a core and the HD would take you over £200 anyway and you get all the good stuff in this package including the great game that is Gears
