It doesn't follow on, however if you have them on dvd there's an alternative ending which follows on better.

Part 1 wasn't up to much but wasn't disappointing as I wasn't expecting a lot. Part 2 was great and opened up a lot of interesting possibilities (for example Lister could have discovered that there are 2 Kochanski's in this new reality just to really confuse the hell out him, and there's also another Kryten out there) and I was really looking forward to the third part.
Unfortunately they then ruined it with an ending that was all a bit too much of a kopout for me. |

I sacked it off after episode 1. Absolute rubbish.
Sounds like I may have been well employed sticking with it...

There is a version about where all 3 episodes have been edited together and the laughter track has been added. Very well done from what I've seen too.
