Another thumbs up for Madhur Jaffery's book

I usually cut most of the butter/ghee to save myself barfing....

Years ago when Madhur Jaffrey had a TV series on the Beeb, my dad went mad for Indian cooking, bought her books and then went on a mission. He went to an Indian grocer who ordered him 2 karhais and a tava for a grand total of about 6quid, and then filled the cupboard with spices.

My dad does an awesome Indian Meal.

I love a good Lamb Dupiaza.

Sadly there is a dearth of Curry houses around here, and it also can be tricky getting the spices

Rumour has it there is one just up the road from where I work that might do a decent curry.

Funnily enough, me and Daz were saying the other day there has been a distinct lack of proper meets lately, in that we all meet up in the pub one Saturday afternoon, go play pool, go back to the hotel to get ready, go out for some fuds, then go out on the lash.

Anyone fancy a Brum meet then?
