Just read this bit.....

One thing to note: AceyBongos' GamerScore Challenge is about playing hard, but playing fair. We'll be keeping a close eye on the GamerScore increases of registered users and if there's any evidence of cheating (through using save games, different versions of the same game, etc) you may be disqualified. That's not to say you can't play recognised GamerScore whore games. Just remember that everyone will be able to see your stats and your shame will be visible to all...

The last 2 sentences ring true to all of ous, we'll be playing our whoring games

Have to reorganise my rental queue I think.
Do hope they clamp down on gamesavers though.

It's where people download gamesaves that are saved right before gaining an achievement, so all they have to do is load it up and say walk 3 foot and gain an achievement.
It can only be done while not connected to XBL.
The easiest way to detect it is say if they have a bunch of online achievements that all say 'Acquired' without a date in their info, meaning they gained an online achievement while offline, thus it's impossible and they gamesaved it.
Or in other cases, they gain an achievement before another achievement that they would have had to gain first. I.e. if they complete level 2 before level 1 according to their game info.

That's probably an extremely rough way of explaining it, but just the basic concept really

I don't see the point in it at all. A lot of the top people on XBL with scores of over 130k turn out to have gamesaved a fair bit.

Heh currently the number 1 guy's on 155399

But he gamesaves too so :/ Or at least a significant portion is gamesaves.
I don't see the point, I'll whore points by playing easy games but that's it.
