Does sound a little more like my style of church, though ideally I like drums and bass guitar to back me up too Of course it could still be Mission Praise they were playing *shudder*

Friday night I ate toad in the hole which was delicious Then watched TV for most of the evening.

Saturday I mainly tidied up, sorted out some financial bits and pieces and emailed my dissertation supervisor about some stuff.

Sunday, I went out shopping with my Mum this morning, first to return some jeans then bought some birthday presents for my Mum (I'm being organised and starting 2 months early), and bought a bag for work so I can actually fit my keys, work ID, wallet and lunch in one bag.
When we got in, I spent the afternoon reading the Sunday papers, now I'm just catching up on the forums, playing a few games then having chicken pie and roast potatoes for dinner

There were drums (fake ones, but still). Unfortunately it was indeed Mission Praise and I'll admit it's not my bag either, but there's only one way to find that out. Still, the relevance of the sermon was the scary bit, not the Mission Praise.

Different service 1st and 3rd Sundays though so I may give it a second chance.

Friday evening, gym, food. And early night.

Sat up early, caught up on admin and paper work. Went to see Superbad (hilarious!) then went to Masala Zone and then just chilled out.

Sun - lie in got up at 930, went to gym, did some fiddling on the comp. Did some ironing and cleaning got myself ready for the week.

Nothing muchos interesting.

Oh dear.. ahh well at least it was a start I hope not "Shine, Jesus, Shine"?
If you're prepared to try something a little more modern I can probably dig up some details of local churches Bound to be a newfrontiers church or similar near you.

Saturday I met up with some friends near Watford and then went into London for a gig

Today I've been up in Manchester to see Chelsea loose to Man U and then had the pleasure of a 4 hour drive home thanks to the M6 being fooked.

Garp, it didn't get that bad, though we did have the children out front doing stuff. Bless.

I'm not going to make a regular habit of it, so don't worry. I have nothing against those who do make a regular habit of it of course, but for me it's more a case of trying to get out of the house a little more and try new things/meet people. We've got an Alpha course starting up next week if I was going to take the other route.

Almost all of my recent (last 15 years) visits to church have been the Christmas Eve service in a church with an organ, so you can count a fifth first if you like.
