I've never watched the Goonies, all my mates shout at me whenever that comes up in conversation.

I've seen every film mentioned so far. I couldn't think of any that I haven't seen so I had a look at the IMDB top 50, only 3 I haven't seen. Only 2 of those do I think I really should have: Amélie and City of God.
What is City of God like as a film (without giving anything away)? It sounds like it could be quite depressing, but then maybe not? I only ask as I once watched a film recommended by others and whilst a very good film, I found it deeply unsettling and disturbing. In all honesty I wish I had never seen it. |

GIANT SLAP!!!!11
Amelie is very good, but the slap wasn't for not seeing that, what it was for was not seeing city of God. It is just a brilliant film, i wouldn't say it is depressing, it does have depressing moments but it is one of those films that makes you experience nearly every spectrum of human emotion. I'm not going to tell you anything more other than this: Watch it.

James Woods is incredible in his role as is De Niro (obviously). It's right up your street, put some time aside and watch it tomorrow. |
