US site, but still, worthwhile if you have an hour to spare. Ignore the blatant Samsung plugs at the start of each video...

Hero vs 3GS - Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G5F0Ruzwos8
Hero vs 3GS - Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5xMUEhFBJ8g
Hero vs 3GS - Part 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xa1zvj5YDy4

Is it my imagination, or is the 3GS phone screen rather brighter (and therefore clearer) than the Hero. That's the first time I've seen a direct side-by-side and the 3GS seemed a lot more readable to me.

There's also a lot to be said for the KISS approach. Apple have that one in the bag for sure.

The screen on the iPhone is probably the best one I have ever seen/used. And that isn't an over statement!

You're on Boat Drinks, reading the signature your signature could be like.
I'm on a computer.

I have to agree there - the screen on the 3GS (can't comment on the other iPhone variants) is absolutely fantastic.

Well that's a crap start to my iPhone ownage, as it's dead already. Had just spent the better part of an hour manually copying all my contacts over (I know I could have done it automatically but I just fancied doing it myself), and then went to log into Facebook so I could check a few updates. The screen went white as I tried to log in, and has either been completely white or completely black ever since. My internet died again so I'm only now able to try a factory reset, but it appears from my quick research that the problem I have is pretty much unsolvable and I'll need to take it into the Apple store to try to get it replaced. Not a happy bunny so far.

I like that. What theme is it? I'm using the Snow Leopard theme for now.
