I've not kept up with what's going on with the 4S, I've got the 4 and I can't justify spending the money on the upgrade but that does look impressive.

Does it need any voice training? I remember voice recognition a few years ago took ages to train to understand you.

I think our Siri is busted. "Sorry, I cant tell you the time right now", didn't understand "knock knock" then gave me this fistful of bizzare when I said 'boo' (no other sound)

wtf?

Alas the stuff that relies on business searching (restaurants etc) doesn't work outside the US atm.

A lot of people are quite aggrieved at this as most of the demos of Siri included a lot of this type of thing yet there wasn't any mention of it not working outside the US.

It's coming in 2012 for us. Sooner the better if you ask me.

I'm actually not minding talking to Siri as much as I thought I would be. I'd prefer a choice of Siri voices though (male voices don't work so well with small speakers).

iTunes is now beachballing a lot for me. I know that having 6,000 songs in the library will take some organising, but this is an early 2006 model Mac Mini with only 1GB RAM, so I suspect the hardware is showing its age now.

No, I shall not be buying a new Mac . Since all this one does now is manage my iTunes library and a bit of messing about, it'd be a waste, though I'll think about it once Snow Leopard becomes unsupported or the hardware dies.

Beware wi-fi sync (and not just on the 4S). My 4S has been constantly trying to complete a wi-fi sync for several hours today, and it only stops trying when you stop it, or something else intervenes (like a flat battery).

I'm not sure whether iCloud would have the same issue, but it might, so keep an eye on that too.
