This actually looks good, wouldn't mind one for the kitchen. mp3's, calendar and view recipes on, another by the bed would be nice.

What does the hack add/do?

The hack gives you a full blown linux distribution on the thing so you can do what you want with it, not what the stock firmware thinks you should.

I installed the Ubuntu release over the weekend, played with it for 15 minutes and got bored. It could be useful with a keyboard/mouse but then I may as well use my netbook.

http://www.jogglerwiki.info/index.php?title=BBC_live is far more interesting for me and I'll be giving it a bash tonight. In the kitchen it's the perfect device for internet radio, the occasional mp3 while I do some washing up or checking the weather in the morning.

It likes to break. Think this is the 6th time I've done the initial setup.

Internet radio was really ropey on mine, but no other problems at all. Hardly used it to date though (keep meaning to 'buntu it and then use it in the office).

Finally got it to work. Quite nice. Wish there were more apps. Flickr screensaver would be nice. Having trouble getting "Connect and Play" to work with my Mac. The PS3 MediaLink software sees it but the Joggler doesn't see the Mac. So I can't share photos / music easily.

It works for me as long as the Joggler is cabled up but not when using wireless. Strange.

Using the Orb to do streaming now. Seems to work nicely. Got mp3s running and photos. Streaming music runs in the background too. Nice.

Bit annoying that I've got two media servers running now. One for PS3 and one for Joggler.

Wish the news / weather apps were better. BBC news not Sky for example.
