Windows XP, where you've set up OpenVPN on a server, sorted out the clients, tested it on every test machine you can lay your hands on... but it doesn't bloody work on the one laptop you actually need it to work on, with a bug people know about (happens on maybe 1 in 100 machines) but can't figure out. And people who are indicating to turn left on a 60mph a-road past 3 turn offs including the one you're at waiting to join the dual carriageway. Nearly drove into a stupid arse on a bike this morning who then glared at us as he did the same to the two cars waiting at the subsequent left turns. Did you ever consider it might be you driving like a f@cktard rather than EVERYONE else on the road?

indeed.. and on a similar vein

When I'm on my bike and cars go to over take me but then slow down and let another car from the opposite direction turn right across my path, making me slow down or get knocked off!

And... when the road you are on has a dedicated cycle lane with cycle boxes at junctions and cars think it's ok to block the lane while they are sitting in a que of traffic either going straight on or coming out of a side road turning left. Or block the cycle box at junctions because they can't observe the rule of making sure your exit is clear before entering a junction.

And.. Pedestrians who step of the kerb into the road without stopping to look. I've run several over in the above mentioned cycle lanes, because they just see a que of stationary cars and assume it's ok to cross between them.

Oh and we need a rational things that annoy you thread as 99% of the things in here are rational and it annoys me!

There are extensions like texto for firefox that are handy, which allow you to use an external text editor instead. I used to edit a wiki on a regular basis that would forget you after about 2 minutes. If you submitted an edit or wiki entry after more than that it would vanish. Hitting back wouldn't work either An extension like texto saved me loads of time.

TBH. Usually, when I'm typing a huge long post, I'll do it in Notepad and then cut and paste - not this time unfortunately Might have a look at this Texto though.

Using it now actually. Will see how I get on with it. Seems to work pretty well - just using notepad as the editor, that's good enough for what I do.
