I took the girls yesterday and it was £21 for the four of us. Factor in the inevitable drinks and sweets and it's well over £30 for a trip to see something. Film was rubbish too. Nanna paid though...must not fritter the Wii money away!!

I'm a cheapskate though and we smuggled sweeties in.

I never go into a cinema without 6 cans of Dr. Pepper (usually go halves with a mate) and something to eat. I'll stop doing so when they sell Dr. Pepper at the cinema itself. No one has ever stopped me and I make sure I open the cans before the film starts so as to not piss everyone off

saw this last weekend and was REALLY disappointed
i don't remember laughing out loud at any point during the film
i mean, there were a few sniggers here and there, but nothing more.
there was an awful lot of bad acting (ricky gervais...) and nothing that sticks out as a particuarly good bit of the film
Jasper fell asleep about 20mins in, and I was bored stupid throughout
i was looking forward to it, too

Ahh, necroposting ftw

Finally got around to watching this tonight and enjoyed it, except for Gervais. I enjoyed The Office, but I thought his standup was absolute ****e and he was no better in this. He's wooden and plays it just as himself. Awful performance from him but apart from that it was a fun film. The kids enjoyed it as well so all was good.
