Ive been looking into getting one of the compact type photo printer like the Canon CP-200 or the Sony-DPP-FP30 ...are these really as good as a desktop type printer ?

The Canon units are reportedly pretty good, but remember they will only ever print 10x15cm images...
In contrast, a "proper" A4 format printer will probably set you back about the same money or less for something of similar print quality but will be able to print on A4 too, and in many cases, straight onto CDs etc. I personally prefer to get my photographs printed by somewhere like photobox because it works out loads cheaper, but if I had to choose a photo printer to run daily it would be one of the Epson R series. For not an awful lot the R3xx series are fantastic units and the R2xx series are pretty close but dont have as many features. Up to you really |
