Just remembered I never posted these on the other forum.

Where I used to work, I had a decent view of the traffic going around USAF Mildenhall and Lakenheath. One afternoon I noticed a white Hercules (My favourite plane) which is a bit unusual. I had a snoop round some plane newsgroups and found out that the Blue Angels - a US Navy display team had made an emergency landing at Lakenheath and were due to depart the following day. Fortunately I had college the next day, so I skived the last lesson and bombed off down to Lakenheath!

The Blue Angels don't perfom in this country very often, well I have never known them to. I have wanted to see them since I was quite small as they are the only display team to have a Hercules.

So, less of the geekiness, more piccyness... but I need to say that I was so excited that I couldn't hold the camera still and certainly couldn't think straight enough to use any manual focus.
