Also to get the excess out before using anything else sprinkle talc on it to help absorb it and then brush of the talc

I just threw Mic's tshirt in the washing machine along with everything else - it all came out ok, didn't realise that wasn't the way to do it

I've already washed the t-shirt with the rest of the clothes but it still stinks to high heaven !

I know it's not the same as engine oil but I usually 90 degree wash my garage clothes with lots of washing liquid, at least half again on top of what you normally use. It never all comes out though, still have a few black stains hence I've got dedicated garage clothes

I've found Vanish gets stuff like cooking oil stains out well. Even ones that still show after being through the wash a few times.
